The main characteristics of ironmaking safety production are:
Ironmaking is the process of mixing iron ore or sintered pellets, manganese ore, limestone, and coke in a certain proportion and sending them to a silo. Then, they are sent to a blast furnace where hot air at around 1000 ℃ is blown into the lower part of the furnace, causing the coke to burn and produce a large amount of high-temperature reducing gas, which heats the furnace material and causes it to undergo chemical reactions. At around 1100 ℃, iron ore begins to soften, and at 1400 ℃, it melts to form molten iron and liquid slag, which are layered and stored in the furnace hearth. Afterwards, carry out iron and slag tapping operations.
The raw materials and fuels required for ironmaking production, the properties of the products and by-products produced, and the environmental conditions of production have brought a series of potential occupational hazards to ironmaking personnel. For example, during the transportation, loading and unloading, crushing and screening of ore and coke, as well as the granulation and screening of sintered ore, a large amount of dust is generated; At the iron yard in front of the blast furnace, the equipment, facilities, and pipelines are densely arranged, the types of operations are diverse, the personnel are concentrated, and the hazardous and harmful factors are most concentrated. For example, the high-temperature radiation of the operation in front of the furnace, the production of a large amount of smoke and dust during iron and slag tapping, and the explosion of molten iron and slag when they come into contact with water; Injuries caused by opening iron gates and cranes; Gas leakage in ironworks can cause poisoning, and the mixture of blast furnace gas and air can cause explosions with great explosive power; Spraying bituminous coal powder can cause dust explosions; In addition, there are noise from the ironmaking area, as well as injuries from machinery and vehicles. So many dangerous factors threaten the life safety and physical health of production personnel.
