Blast furnace is a high-temperature smelting furnace with continuous production, and it is not allowed to have water or power outages during the process. Especially for large and medium-sized blast furnaces, reliable measures must be taken to ensure safe power and water supply.
(1) Safety technology for water supply system. The blast furnace body, tuyere, bottom, shell, slag, etc. must be continuously supplied with water. Once interrupted, it will burn out the cooling equipment and cause major accidents such as production stoppage. For safe water supply, the following measures should be taken for large and medium-sized blast furnaces: the water supply system should be equipped with a certain number of backup pumps; All pump stations are equipped with two power sources; Set up a water tower for water supply to ensure water supply when the diesel pump is started; Set up a return water tank to ensure continuous water supply without external water supply; Install continuous filters on the furnace body and air inlet water supply pipes; Steel pipes are used for water supply and drainage to prevent breakage.
(2) Power supply safety technology. For instruments and equipment that cannot be powered off, in the event of a power outage, personal and equipment safety should be considered, and necessary security emergency measures should be set up. Set up dedicated and backup diesel generator sets.
Computers, instrument power supplies, emergency power supplies, and communication signals are all security loads. Each electrical room and operation room should be equipped with chrome battery fluorescent lamps for emergency lighting.
